DOCUMENTATION CENTRE ON COOPERATIVE HOUSING
The National Cooperative Housing federation of India has set up a Documentation Centre on Cooperative Housing in its Secretariat. This Centre functions as a centralized single window and store-house of all requisite data and information and provides easy access to various Central and State agencies besides cooperative housing institutions at state, regional and local levels.
NCHF has earmarked an exclusive space of about 1500 sq. ft area in its Secretariat and got it fully equipped with necessary computers for data processing and information storage system for the Documentation centre which consists of:

A Reference Library: It contains important publications, Reports, Acts, Rules and Regulations and has an acquisition of about 1230 documents. These have been indexed as per the prescribed UNENSCO software package which facilitates easy access to abridged version of each document, author or institution. A Reference Library Index of all the documents has been brought out in different volumes, each containing the details of about 300 documents.

A Directory of Housing Institutions: NCHF has compiled the mailing addresses of over 10,000 institutions in the public, private and cooperative sectors which are directly or indirectly associated with housing activities in the country either as builders, developers, financiers or promoters of innovative construction technologies, designs etc.

A Data Bank: NCHF has also created a Data bank on cooperative housing by compiling relevant statistics from all concerned cooperative housing institutions in India and abroad and prominent housing development agencies as well as Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India. These are being widely disseminated through annual publications of Statistical Handbook, Data Sheets, etc.
